    Join the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM) for a one-day symposium on the latest developments in aerosol inhalation science. The event will take place on the campus of the University of California, San Diego and is open to industry, regulatory and academic scientists as well as clinicians and fellows.

    Now Accepting Abstracts

    ISAM is now accepting abstracts for consideration for inclusion in the Program. Abstracts should be no more than 200 words in length excluding title, authors and affiliations. Provide funding source (if applicable) and presenting author’s email at the bottom of the abstract. Send abstracts in Word or PDF format using 12 pt Arial font to cdarquenne@ucsd.edu with subject line reading “2018 ISAM symposium abstract” no later than March 1, 2018.

    The Venue

    The symposium will take place on the 15th floor of Village West building 1 on the north end of the UCSD campus at the corner of UCSD Northpoint Driveway and Scholar Drive North (see maps below). The facilities boast beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, Torrey Pines Golf Course, and downtown San Diego and is surrounded by a patio accessible during coffee breaks, lunch and the evening reception.

    Transportation

    Hotels close to the venue are 5-15min walk, or ~$5-10 Uber/Lyft ride to the venue.

    From downtown (ATS hotels), conference center:

    • Uber/Lyft from the conference center to UCSD ~$25-30 (one way)
    • Regular taxi service, ~$50
    • Public transportation ($2.25 each way, exact amount required if paid on bus), bus lines 30 and 150 link downtown to UCSD campus 
      The bus terminus at the UCSD campus is a 10-15min (pleasant) walk to the meeting location.

    Parking at UCSD

    Parking at UCSD during weekdays is extremely limited, particularly between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Plan accordingly if you decide to drive to campus. Parking rates range from $8-16/day.
    The closest parking structures with visitor spots (marked “V” in white background) are the Hopkins and Pangea parking structures, as well as Parking Lot P385 (North Torrey Pines and Glider Port). For a map, click here.
