Postdoctoral Research Associate - Intranasal Drug Delivery
    Virginia Commonwealth University

The Respiratory Aerosol Research and Educational (RARE) Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in Richmond, VA is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on a federally-funded project in the area of nasal drug delivery. This experimental research project is sponsored by the US FDA and the main objective is to aid in the development of accessible and efficient intranasal drug delivery devices. Nasal drug delivery is the typical choice for topical delivery of anti-inflammatory drugs, but is also rapidly gaining popularity as an attractive approach for needle-free vaccination, systemic drug delivery, and nose-to-brain targeting.

We work closely with collaborators in the VCU Department of Pharmaceutics and Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery on the VCU Medical Campus. The combined Medical and Academic campuses make VCU the largest research university in the state of Virginia. Notably, the VCU Department of Pharmaceutics is widely recognized for its Aerosol Research Group, which is internationally recognized for organizing Respiratory Drug Delivery Conference series (http://www.rddonline.com/).
