ISAM/ATS Preconference Session at ATS 2019

As in previous years, ISAM and ATS are organizing an ISAM/ATS pre-conference session for ATS 2019. This preconference session on “Current Practice and Future Developments in Aerosol Medicine” will highlight new, exciting research from ISAM and non-ISAM members who submitted abstracts to the 2019 Conference in Dallas. Up to thirty abstracts from our field will be displayed and discussed as posters. Among these, we will select abstracts from students and early-stage investigators that will also be presented during short oral presentations. The session will take place on Saturday May 18, 2019 (room and time to be confirmed) at no additional cost to attendees. Participation in the session will be in addition to ordinary programming of these abstracts during the conference, but will allow for the work to be highlighted in greater depth to conference attendees.

This event will provide a venue for ISAM members and other researchers with an interest in aerosol-related research to network with each other. The session will be advertised in the ATS program and will be open to all attendees. We hope to see many of you attending the 2019 ATS conference at this event. Feel free to invite your colleagues to attend as well!

Consider the Aerosol School for Your New Colleagues

ISAM, St. Joseph's Healthcare, and McMaster University proudly present Aerosol School October 16-18, 2019 at the Firestone Research Aerosol Laboratory, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Aerosol School is an intensive three day curriculum designed to provide the didactic background and practical laboratory hands-on experience to quantify and characterize medical aerosols. Upon completion of the program, participants should understand the measurements and techniques utilized in commercial pharmaceutical and biotech laboratories as well as academic research. The curriculum is a perfect primer for anyone interested in measurements of medical aerosols, whether for industry or clinical research.

Registration will be limited to the first 20 participants to ensure a good hands-on experience.

Target audience: Scientists, technicians and students wishing to learn the range of measurements and techniques utilized in the modern aerosol laboratory.

Registration Fees (in US Dollars) includes membership to ISAM, course book, 3 lunches, 1 dinner: Standard fee: $1675 US, Student fee: $750 US.
